horses made from the heart
Versatile. Gentle. Handy.
Flora Belle Binninger grew up in Northern Idaho and has been riding horses since before she could walk. She was fortunate to learn quality horsemanship from an early age. Her family stumbled across Buck Brannaman in 2014, when she was 9, and Flora has been chasing his style of horsemanship ever since. She started her first colt with Buck when she was 13, a little pony mare that started her business of training and selling ponies with her brother. As she grew up, Flora moved on to bigger horses, but her hunger and dedication to horsemanship remained the same. Being homeschooled allowed her to travel to pursue many different horse opportunities and spend countless hours in the saddle all over the US. From a northwest Montana guest ranch to Ocala, Florida starting hunter jumpers as well as countless Buck clinics around the West, she has experienced a lot of different styles and gotten to put her hands on a variety of horses. Flora graduated high school in May of 2023, and set off on her own to work on a historic ranch in Montana and live out her dreams of making a living riding horses. Her focus is developing well rounded, gentle horses, with a horsemanship and ranch foundation. They are handy in an arena but more often than not they are used outside doing a job on the ranch, which in her opinion is the best way to make a good horse. She offers a select few sale horses per year, both privately and through sales like Art of the Cowgirl (Wickenburg, AZ) and Pitchfork Ranch Horse Sale (Meeteestse, WY). Flora occasionally takes on an outside colt or horse needing more miles but her focus has shifted to making sale horses that anyone can go enjoy. In her spare time, she rides more horses!

Colt Starting
Next Opening: December 2025
Give your colt a solid start or get your older horse restarted. Your horse will first be taught groundwork exercises and get desensitized to ropes, tarps, and flags. They will not be rushed, but when they are ready, their first few rides will be in the roundpen, focusing on getting them moving out freely. They will be ridden in and out of the arena to develop control of their feet and get them gentle. As the horse's owner, it is important that you are eager to improve your skills along with your horse. Flora feels it's crucial that you be involved and included in your horse's training. Flora kees a detailed log of everything done with your horse and two private lessons per month are included in her colt starting rate.
Colts will live outside 24/7 in a large herd, which Flora feels is critical for their development.

Sale Horses
Call/Text to inquire about available horses
Horses for the whole family, who know the meaning of a hard days work on the ranch. Quiet enough for anyone, yet fancy enough to step it up to an advanced rider. Handy and gentle-a combo you don’t find often! Flora’s aim is to create well rounded horses that can go in any direction. They are cowboy horses that are used everyday for real ranch jobs and have been roped on lots outside. Don’t let the word “cowboy” fool you into thinking they aren’t quiet.
If the horse can’t pack your little kid around safely, take grandma to the mailbox, or saddle up after months off without an ounce of tightness, they aren’t for sale. Gentle is her #1 priority when making horses for the public, yet any one of them have the makings to be your town horse or excel in the show pen.
It takes many years to create a horse of this caliber, and for that reason, Flora only offers a select few a year. Honesty is the best policy and each horse is marketed exactly as they are. She wants you to find the perfect partner and will tell you straight up if the horse may not be right for you. Give her a call to see if she has one to fit you!

Outside Miles & Refinement

Flora will work with your horse at the level they're at and go at a pace where they can process things and think for themselves.
